[GET] The Art of Invisibility
The Art of Invisibility: The World’s Most Famous Hacker Teaches You How to Be Safe in the Age of Big Brother and Big Data
Authors: Kevin D. Mitnick, Robert Vamosi Language: English Pages: 259 Description: Like it or not, your every move is being watched and analyzed. Consumer's identities are being stolen, and a person's every step is being tracked and stored. What once might have been dismissed as paranoia is now a hard truth, and privacy is a luxury few can afford or understand. In this explosive yet practical book, Kevin Mitnick illustrates what is happening without your knowledge--and he teaches you "the art of invisibility." Mitnick is the world's most famous--and formerly the Most Wanted--computer hacker. He has hacked into some of the country's most powerful and seemingly impenetrable agencies and companies, and at one point he was on a three-year run from the FBI. Now, though, Mitnick is reformed and is widely regarded as the expert on the subject of computer security. He knows exactly how vulnerabilities can be exploited and just what to do to prevent that from happening. In THE ART OF INVISIBILITY Mitnick provides both online and real life tactics and inexpensive methods to protect you and your family, in easy step-by-step instructions. He even talks about more advanced "elite" techniques, which, if used properly, can maximize your privacy. Invisibility isn't just for superheroes--privacy is a power you deserve and need in this modern age. EPUB: EPUB VERSION PDF: PDF VERSION Stay safe -Stay happy Show some love :) |

RE: [GET] The Art of Invisibility
Thank you, soultech, for re-upping this. I added Triple-Max-Reps for you!
I'm also glad that my tip (on shortening the post's title) helped. As I said in my PM, I've had a few shares show like they should when in preview mode but when I click to publish, instead of showing the thread, you see the thread link but get a dead page saying something like: You Don't Have Permission to View This Thread Because... and gives you a list of possible reasons. Well, it's a quick-fix. Just shorten the title in the Post Subject area (that you see before you get to type the main post content) to less than 20 words or so. It's a shame that there's not an AIO area where people can go to learn how to use BBHF more efficiently. When my posts when "hidden," I had to put on my thinking cap and I was shocked that it worked. You can make your thread title (with subtitles) as long as you like inside the main area of the text editor, so that's where you can add long titles and subtitles, if you like. for sharing this!
