I wasn't originally going to share this, but felt compelled to because I think it'll really give you a different perspective on what kinds of domains to register if you care about being memorable.

I used to tell friends some of the websites I was working on and by the end of the week they had already forgotten the names. "uh what's the site again?" I figured they were easy to remember; all of them were 2-3 words long. Clearly they were keyword rich, but not memorable AT ALL!

Ironically I have one domain that's now 4 words and everyone remembers because, well, it's catchy :D

If you're just ranking for the search engines, it's probably not that big of a deal. But if you're counting on word of mouth and repeat visitors, and to build a lasting brand, it's important to get a domain that's catchy and sticks in people's heads long after you tell them about it.
