[GET] The 5 Minute Business

I want to take a minute and mention the second part of this course, "Hidden Chapter" as it's value crept up on me a good year after starting what I did. It's nine (9) pages in length and starts with a real world example of Dropbox and how they applied a growth hack.

Now it's called, "HIDDEN CHAPTER - VIRAL GROWTH TECHNIQUES" and at the time I first read it not much really got my immediate attention except fantasizing about what it'd be like to have a traffic base list of four (4) million targeted consumers! Middo wrote, "Growth Hacking in its purest form is really about building virality into the product or service." I admit at that time it didn't resonate with me but jump forward a couple years and I discovered something about traffic.

I had my own pulled traffic through article writing and then began utube which helped a lot! I wrote so much that I still have a great deal of unused material and frankly it's a bit dated but can be reworked. The writing provided everything and I do mean all, because even though it was used in different mediums, it was my writing. Do you see this was how I got my offer converting with free targeted traffic and I was learning in the process?

I came to realize this was my base level of interacting with my market. So a lightbulb went off in my head and it was paid traffic. BOOM! A whole new world appeared on my doorstep and I had to learn fast but it is a rush. I failed and won many times but I grew in knowledge quickly because of my experience and time garnering my base market. Do you see what I'm saying?

That time was well spent establishing my base and now translated so well in this new arena. Why you ask? Because my base traffic was entirely 'COLD' traffic and didn't know me (is an alias/pen name) or the product. Sure after a time they returned and still do but boy did I earn my wings in the beginning. Paid traffic was my version of a growth hack and yes I still learn almost everyday. My next growth hack will be JV with some really big names in my niche because I have a proven track record forged in the fires of consistent effort and some prosperity to show too.

This "Hidden Chapter" helped me see it wouldn't be some kind of dumb luck, as it never is, but opening up new avenue streams for revenue. In a nutshell the virility associated with my product and efforts was in the relationship I've developed with many of them. I give and give and then give some more with my time, message interactions and valuable material. I don't have a huge list number, and I won't say either but, if you saw what each buyers lifetime value has been to me monetarily, you'd soil yourself. Really that good! What was it RAZ that changed all this for you?

It was the STEPPS formula that I discovered in this 'Hidden Chapter', at the end of 2014, which is an acronym for, "Social Currency, Triggers, Emotion, Public, Practical Value, and Stories." The author Middo goes into good application of each of the six (6) drivers.

I was rereading this product today because of the evergreen nature of the process. People haven't changed any since this was written just a few years ago. And the sites recommended in it have only become more valuable for communication.

I recommend you reread it too. (I spend ~ 20 minutes 6 days a week, on the exact processes Mark Middo recommends in 5MB. I get approx. 450 new emails on my list monthly from my efforts. Considering that each email is worth about $2/month in my funnel, with a useful life of about 10 months - each hour I spend doing it is worth many hundreds of dollars.)

On page 100, the real secret of IM (any kind: using Facebook, YooToob, advertising and websites, blogs....) is revealed clearly.

There is another amazing book that has helped millions of people across the globe. I bought it back in 1993. Back then, I was living in New York City and working the night-shift in a job with no future. By the time I was halfway done, I came up with an idea that helped me sell millions of dollars in nutritional supplements.

I read it again back in 2005 and it helped me again. This time, I made close to 1 million dollars in less than 6 months selling a booklet about getting rid of credit card debts. The book was created from a PLR ebook that I bought for 99 cents.

Where did all that money go? Some health issues; also, I was way too generous with friends and family.

The book is available for free online. Just do a search on Google.

I'm about to read it again. So.... Watch out world!!!

Hi uwa223. Thanks for exposing some of your personal backstory. How you were able to bridge reading "Think and Grow Rich" to taking action, enjoying a rich harvest and such.

Don't know if you ever saw this and what your thoughts are in regards to the inner workings of TAGR.

Guess what I'm asking you is what was it... Can you identify...What the impetus was from TAGR to your successes? How did the book translate into your mind to propel you into what you did?

This fascinates me because it is never easy but can be simple. It seems from what you wrote you had a very clear pathway, that you just knew, to somehow follow.

You were reading the book while working a dead end, grave-yard shift job, came up with an idea. Involved nutritional supplements. (did you have prior experience with them? Maybe from your personal workouts?) Somehow found the right manufacturers and then had enough capital, developed a private labeled(?), distribution channels and marketing. It's quite a feat!

Hi Razmataz13 - In the 90's, I spent a fortune buying everything that was available from Jim Rohn, Brian Tracy, and Stephen Covey from Nightingale Conant. To be honest with you, I didn't get much out of those courses. The only thing I got out of them was one pissed off wife. I was spending too much money in books and mlm products - and the checks I received didn't cover 1/10 of what I was spending. Results - "If you don't quit that crap, I'm moving out".

Someone suggested for me to read Think and Grow Rich and before I was done reading it, I came up with simple recruiting systems for Changes and LifePlus that were bringing in thousands of distributors into my downline per month. At that time fax-on-demand were the in thing. I transcribed a cassette about Pycnogenol into 5 pages and uploaded them along with an order form to a fax-on-demand system. My downlines in Lifeplus and Changes exploded.

But they say that nothing good lasts forever and these companies made changes to their pay plans or raised their product prices and people were dropping out as fast as they had joined.

I went back to my book, read the last few chapters and came up with another idea; a 2 tier, health supplements affiliate program. Before I opened the door, I had received over $50,000 in orders. I used about $20K to order a tracking software and three private label products; grape seed extract, multivitamins, and weightloss. It felt great to be able to launch a company that would sell millions of dollars in supplements - without a dime out-of-pocket. Using other people's money at it best.

I really cannot tell you which chapter helped me the most. All I remember was reading a few chapters and waking up the next morning with an idea on how to create a powerful recruiting system for the MLM companies I was promoting.

A few months later, I read the rest of the book, went to sleep and the next day I woke up with an idea that would help me launch an affiliate program that sold millions of dollars in supplements - without using my own money.

This book is for those that are really green on online marketing... and if you don't know what being "green" means.... it means that you don't know jack s**t about online marketing. by the way... the color of the pages are even green.

Anyways... it tells you to use camtasia, use seo, blah blah blah, you get better info on posts on this site that you will on this book.
