In Silent Sales Machine Jim goes into detail as to why you should build rapport with your customers and potential customers, how to provide great content for your list and shows a myriad ways of building your business through capturing subscribers.

He also shows, in outline, ways of increasing the visibility of your squeeze page.

Note: there are no 'SECRETS' here! These are all methods that advanced marketers know about but it's really nice to have them all in one place and explained in such a clear and logical fashion.

Although this is mainly about building rapport with your list and your customers, he does outline some ideas for online business that might trigger your thinking process. There's a clear call at the end for you to join his 'business coaching' system, but that's only to be expected.

Newbies to marketing could gain a lot by reading this from beginning to end, then going through it two more times and make notes along the way. It's a no-nonsense approach to marketing, debunking the 'get rich quick' and '$10000 in 4 hours' shiny object syndrome in a disarming way.

We all know there are some 'make money quick' systems that make you a few dollars here and there. But that's not the way to make a fortune online. Jim shows why just being an affiliate marketer by itself won't build a business. If you want to make a fortune online in the long term you have to go one better and become a product seller or creator/seller first.

There's a useful aside on niche marketing and looking for long tail keywords that I found quite amusing in the way he turns the whole process upside down.

Look, this is a guy who found himself out of a job, turned to marketing on eBay, wrote a book about it and sold it, successfully, then built a multiple source of income business on the back of it. He didn't make a fortune overnight, but he does now!

All in all, a good read.
