Yes you will need to go into the php ini and or if you have an php editor inside your hosting like I do then you just turn on zend optimizer and its done.

You have to do it from your control panel of your hosting account or ask your hosting provider to do it for you. If you had my hosting provider I could help you but each host will be different. Sorry I wish I could do more to help you.

when you install the plugin via wordpress and activate there is an update link in the plugin of the plugins directory of your wordpress menu click that link and update it. This is an unlimited domain version so you don't have to worry about it not working as long as its continued to be developed.
