William C. Martell
SCREENWRITING BLUEBOOKS
(The Full Writer's Series Collection)

LAYNA'S NOTE: I checked in with BlackTopHat to get the okay before I posted the other books in this William Martell series (just in case he'd planned to do it himself). I got the "go-ahead" (thank you, BlackTopHat), so, here they are...

This collection is a numbered series, so you may want to read them in chronological order but the author's book numbering convention seems a little weird to me. For example, there is no #5; the collection goes from book #4 directly to #6; numbers 14, 15 and 18 are also missing-in-action and then there are two books that clearly belong to the series (ex: the same cover branding as the other Screenwriting Blue Books) but have no numbers assigned.

It could be that book #4 serves as both 4 and 5 but beyond that supposition, I can't explain why entire volumes are unaccounted for.

If you want to READ MORE about any of these titles before downloading, please do a search at Amazon.com for a thorough description.

This is an all-in-one (AIO) download.

Thanks for all these, Layna! To echo what Layna has written, Martell's work is invaluable to fiction authors and screenwriters alike. Big ups and reps to Layna!

RE: [GET] Secrets Of Story- William Martell
I'm guessing, from the low level response this thread has received, that most people here don't realise what this is.

It's probably one of the most surprising shares I've ever seen on this forum. Honestly!

2 Reasons:
#1 I have NEVER seen all 20 Blue Books shared ANYWHERE... EVER.
#2 These are the closest thing to a Story-Writers' Bible that any book (or books) has ever got
(In Hollywood, they are simply referred to as the 'Blue Books' and considered essential reading)

I have bought some already, they are all gems, but I am pleased to fill out my collection, at last.

I feel a small pang of regret, since I do think Martell deserves every penny. But judging from the reaction (lack of) here, he's not losing many pennies. IF any.

Top reps.

These are pure gold as Magma has said. Sorry for you Mr. and Ms. fiction author if you don't grab everything the wonderful Layna has given you.

RE: [GET] Secrets Of Story- William Martell
@Magma: Thank you for the post. Yes, fiction writers can benefit greatly from using some of the methods in their stories that screen-writers traditionally employ.

As for "low level of interest" on this thread, I see that as par for the course on this forum. Luckily, the lack of people participating on a thread doesn't directly translate to the value of the share.

This forum is being taken over by ill-mannered and self-absorbed individuals. In my experience here, the only kinds of threads you will find hundreds of posts running several pages long are those in which the sharer requires one to "post to the thread" in order to get the download link or threads where people bump other folk's requests or those asking for re-ups or mirrors. Once you supply a download link, you can expect the same (few) grateful and decent people to say "thank you" and/or add reps but the vast number of faceless thousands simply grab and go.

I've even had people post to ask questions or make statements that prove they didn't bother to read what I wrote in the share description.

It's a different story altogether, though, when you check out the number of "Views" versus the interaction on a thread.

Even the folks who run the forum block links to valuable downloads that are free for the asking ... to protect some GB seller.

It would be funny if it weren't so sad.

@BlackTopHat: Thank you for the kind words, friend. I am honored to help. I enjoyed your download and would never have heard of William Martell were it not for your share.

Thanks

RE: [GET] Secrets Of Story- William Martell
Layna: I'm a long time lurker (for the most part) here. But when I see things like this, I have to comment.

I don't know where you find the time, but I love your efforts. I think you give as much value in your "legitimate" links as you do in your BH downloads.

If I may be so bold, you are like a thematic quality filter. I never see you share BS. :)

Please never change.

Also, to BlackTopHat, many thanks for getting this thread going.

RE: [GET] Secrets Of Story- William Martell
Thank you, Stumickel. Mmmm... a "thematic quality filter." I like that.

I've said it before but it bears repeating: By choice, I never share anything I would not, myself, find some value in.

And so that I don't make myself out to be a liar, you may notice that I have shared files as a result of someone asking for help in a private message or from a post in a REQ thread; but other than that, my own taste in downloads plays a huge part in deciding what to share here.

Thanks
for reading!
