@connexionz - strange on my side. When i do the change to "true" I cant activate the plugin. And when I activate it first an afterwards do the change - the whole site is blocked by ionCube ...
any clue? Fatal error: .. /wp-content/plugins/wp-smushit/wp-smush.php was blocked from execution by ionCube24 (ioncube24.com). |

Worked perfectly for me on 3 websites.
Make sure you update to newest version of plugin first, then change the php file. Also make sure you change the correct line. I noticed similar lines in that file. :) |

Yes, it's best to first download the plugin from Wordpress Repository and then only make changes. I'll upload cracked version soon, if someone still faces problem. Closing this thread as the share for latest version is complete. Infact future versions can also be cracked in same way, as explained in OP Post#1 (unless vendor makes major changes to logic).
