O.k., TMI, but necessary...

I met my fiance while wearing a 'pheremone' cologne. It turns out, the cologne was nothing more than a 'magic feather' (Reference to the Dizny movie Dumbo).

Her best friend had a crush on me, and was talking me up the entire time (unbeknownst to me). THAT was the reason she was interested.

Forget everything these potential psychopathic 'gurus' tell you about what you need to seduce Women.

The entire industry that Ross Jeffries established for seduction was started with a sales letter written by the Prince of Print himself, Gary Halbert. Chew on that for a while.

You don't want "Women". You want The One.

(You don't know this yet, but take it {as a grain of salt} from someone older than you who's made a shit-ton more mistakes than you.)

All YOU need to know is what SHE needs. What SHE wants. 'She' being the one who is consumed with passion for YOU. Nobody else matters.

As with men, there is such a myriad difference in women that it doesn't even bear describing (assuming that I could). Checklists for daygame seduction tips are less than useless--find someone who can more than just stand you, but who GETS you. Then hang on for dear life.

For life is short, and if you don't know that, you've just offered up that potential partner to someone with just a bit more wisdom (or less indifference) to another who might not deserve her.

Probably 20-YEARS ago (when 40 and recently single again) I received an offer in the mail -- yep, for the younger folks, spam originated in the U.S. Postal Service mail -- and discovered there were these magic pheromones for sale in expensive "cologne."

A real M.D. doctor even swore they were effective!

Wanting to understand, I did research and found we ALL express our own specific pheromones already . . . and I had no trouble with the ladies . . . so I wondered who makes these for the cologne? A male model or a rather disgusting type guy in his basement or a overly-short marketing type?

Just the thought of someone else's sweat on me was enough to never try it.

Plus, I agree with C.Jensen . . . just be yourself. I've studied the mind for decades and male-female interactions as a subset. I've read and watched with interest a good many of the "pick-up" courses and see a common thread between them and this type of "cologne."

It's SELF-CONFIDENCE.

Ladies usually find that attractive in a man.

That's also why the "pick-up" courses and this "cologne" seem to work part of the time: The Placebo Effect . . . in that 1/3 to 1/2 of the guys who believe in either will see results based on their own beliefs alone.

I am happy that this share has gotten some interesting feedback. The whole point of my comments was to express that phenomes is a natural animal secretion and no amount of it manufactured in a lab and sold in a bottle at any cost can substitute for a person (man or woman) having just a little bit of confidence, being their best, authentic self and genuinely engaging with someone they find interesting --- and when I say "engaging" that doesn't necessarily mean a physical relationship early-on.

It all goes naturally from that point. There is either a love connection or not.

@EuroTrader: Thank you for posting. I also agree with you that ladies find self-confidence in a man very attractive (sexy, actually), so long as it doesn't border on cockiness. I wonder how "successful" some of these marketers are in their own relationships.

Marketers of these products misrepresent love for lustful episodes that are nothing more than a series of "booty calls." These methods may work for getting a gaggle of girls in the sack if that's your ultimate goal but you will be direly disappointed if you are looking to eventually meet your life's soul-mate and find true love.

Seduction can be an art but it doesn't need to be a game and that's what these products reduce it to.

@audinue: Who is your question for? If it is intended for me, I posted my opinion. I don't expect YOU or anyone else to feel the same way I do.

Firstly, I'm a woman so I'm looking at this from an entirely different perspective (assuming you're a male).

Secondly, I probably have some years on you. So there's the maturity issue.

And you think my post is 'serious' (your label --- not mine) as if a discussion about intimate relationships shouldn't be.

There is a difference between attraction/seduction and porn.

One involves sex and nothing more.

The other could involve sex but includes a lot of the other things like feelings and emotions --- where feel-good pheromones come into play that make you WANT to be with or around a particular person.

You find yourself thinking about the person when they're gone and wanting to spend time with them when next you can. You care about the person even when they're fully dressed and not in a bedroom.

The attraction is such that it often leads to sex... but with romance.

You value the person because of how they make you feel.

It's the giddy, quiver-in-the-pit-of-your-stomach you get when they walk into the room.

You find yourself gazing or stealing a peek when they aren't looking.

It's the kind of thing that makes certain people plan to spend their lives together.

And usually, it's nothing to do with the way they look.

Some may even wonder how they ever ended up with someone they never imagined they would but are now enjoying their best life because they did.

It could be the pheoromes they give off.

Or the scent they're wearing.

Or simply that they're a remarkably good person who just connects with you on a very intimate level.

But porn focuses on looks.

Porn builds on fantasy - not reality.

Porn is about scratching an itch.

It's not that hard to do when you let your fingers type the words to express what is already in your heart.

But what I tried to describe to audinue is the kind of connection that forges meaningful human relationships; including intimate ones.

Words can do that whether its to a reader of your copy seeking to buy your product, or a person whose decision you would like to inlfuence, or someone you've had your eye on as a potential romantic partner/lover.

So there is a difference between products that tell men how to score babes versus putting in the work to find their someone special and being vested in having long-term, meaningful intimacy. And I'm not judging; each of these camps have their own market. So, to each his (or her) own; but to be clear, there is a difference.
