This is an example of a good marketing strategy. She's using the name "The Secret", "The Magic" etc combined with a good cover and "magical stories" to attract people's attention and curiosity. But the concept is the same from ages ago. You get what you focus on. There's no strange, mystical and magical thing about that. But people want to believe there's a magical and powerful energy out there to fulfill our desire without doing the "work". And she tells people that it's true. Same like a lot of gurus on the internet. They tell you that you can make a lot of money with no skill, no following, no email list, no social media, and no thing! And guess what? people bought their products and left disappointed.

A lot of people are lazy, crybabies and want to be fed. And this is why this business exists. A business exists because there is a demand for it. This woman knew it. She's definitely a good marketer.

I do agree with you in that there is no magic method and that most of these so-called Guru's are just marketing machines that feed on the instant gratification that is cultural commonplace.

As for the manifestation part, there is only Truth, and one can look at it from all different angles and interpretations. One also needs to have the ability to understand the knowledge and apply it.

It's like if you went back in time to the Neolithic age and gave them plans for a F16 jet, they wouldn't know what to do with it, they would assume its a fire-breathing dragon. So even amazing, life-changing knowledge means nothing unless you can do something with it.

Similarly sometimes people come across knowledge/insights/strategies but their awareness is not harnessed enough to truly take advantage of it.

I believe all Masters taught virtually the same thing. The unseen world creates your reality and you are it's Master. The subconscious mind through the power of visualizing (imaginal mind) and feeling of joy can truly manifest miracles. Yet we focus more on what we don't want, and where attention flows, energy goes...so we get more of that we don't want.

Books/courses in manifestation only help you so far, and they are great reminders, but one needs to apply this and experience it for yourself.

As for the author, yes I agree she saw a need and created a business. Good on her.

As with anything I take all of this with a pinch of salt, and sometimes even if I get an extra nugget or two by reading/doing a course, it's worth the time.

I agree with 'invisible' and 'awareness' but believe there is some value in these types of books. The bottom line is that if you BELIEVE in something strongly enough, it may manifest itself in some way. Of course, I do agree that most people look for the 'lazy' way of making a fortune and other than winning the lottery, that is not the way. But if such a book gives hope, that can't be bad. If someone believes there is a magical power somewhere that will make them rich, then, in my humble opinion, they will see an opportunity and if they take it, regardless whether they believe it is magic or not, it could open the door to making money.
