[GET] Ransomware: Hijacking Your Data
[Image: c824bcdf49.jpg]
Since 2011, users have increasingly seen messages warning that their computer is locked and demanding money in exchange for access to their PCs, purportedly from the FBI and police agencies.

These are not the actions of law enforcement — but are a type of malware called ransomware. In Ransomware: Hijacking Your Data the experts at SophosLabs look in depth at ransomware variants and delivery mechanisms, and show how you can protect your data with a complete security strategy. Get it now!

Ransomwares are hard nut to crack. I am not sure if they can decrypt them that easily. I have been reading few ransomware articles on bleeping computer, ransomwares.net and other websites. The issues are likely to get worst

RE: [GET] Ransomware: Hijacking Your Data
I am backing up my computers to external hard-drives with FB Backup software, even creating the unzipped Exact mirrors of my computers drives - so F.ck those bastards!

In the worst case scenario I will get a new computer, as I am sure that will be cheaper than the money they will try to extort from me.

Not to mention I even have "hard copies" - believe it or not :-) of those most important things, i.e. logins, passwords, receipts etc..
No dimpled nerd somewhere in Ukraine/China/USA/Korea can "ransom" that! ;-)
