"How to Make Money with Order-Jacking"

ORDER-JACKING: Affiliate Marketing strategy that attracts 'severe problem aware' traffic to your affiliate link.

You don't want to attract just anyone, you want to attract buyers!

5 Stages of Customer Awareness:
(Based on Breakthrough Advertising by Eugene M. Schwartz)

1. Unaware Traffic:   Won't admit they have a problem, or are unaware of the problem. No desire to make a change. This is where most of the traffic is but we do not want to sell to them (they are not "buyers").

2. Problem Aware Customers: Know they have a problem, but don't know the best way to solve it.  Some problems are worse than others, and potential customers may act faster to solve a bigger problem.  These are the type of customers we DO want to target

3. Solution Aware: They know there is a solution to their problem, but they don't know which products use this solution to solve their problem.

4. Product Aware: They know your product exists but are unsure of all the details or have an objection to purchasing.

5. Fully Aware: They know your product, they know the price, they know what it does, but they haven't purchased (yet).

We want to sell to customers who are "problem aware", and bring them over to be "solution aware", they become "product aware" ....

COLD vs. HOT traffic

ex 1: someone who searches for "Puppy Training", this is too vague = unaware traffic
ex 2: someone who searches for "How to teach a dog tricks", is also too vague, this is not buyer traffic

ex 3: someone who searches for "Stop puppy pulling on leash", these are "problem aware" but not a big or severe problem - they may not be ready to buy.
ex 4: someone who searches for "Puppy keeps peeing in the house", this is much better - they have a real problem to solve = "severe problem aware"

ex 5: "Relationship dog training" (this is a specific type of training), this person has done their research, they know what they want. Potentially good traffic for Order-Jacking. "solution aware"
ex 6: "Does Dog and Puppy Training Techniques work? or "Does Dog and Puppy Training Techniques Review" (asking about this specific course) = Product Aware
ex 7: "Buy Dog and Puppy Training Techniques" - these are the hottest traffic, but this is not what we will target in this program, not much volume, some affiliate programs don't want you to target these keywords (brand bidding)

Order-Jacking will target the
severe problem aware and solution aware (ex: 4 and 5)
They are more likely to make a purchase.

We will attract them into our conversion mechanism to warm them up even more.  Then send them to the (very well-written) sales page that will do the selling for us.

The Traffic Flow - The Best Traffic for Order-Jacking

The easiest way to find intent: Search Engine Marketing
- To make Order-Jacking work, you need to ensure your conversion mechanism is in front of traffic that has the buyers' motive you've started identifying. This is some of the 'highest potential' traffic for affiliate marketers.

3 biggest search engines:
- Google
- YouTube
- Bing (for US Traffic)

This all takes time and MORE training and learning

He prefers to focus on Microsoft Ads
- These ads run on Bing but also on Yahoo, AOL, DuckDuckGo etc.
- Yes, Google is the #1 search engine in the world (which is why it's the most expensive to advertise on)
- SEO for many of these keywords is often extremely aggressive and can take weeks/months to rank for.
- it's about 30% of the cost to advertise on the exact same keyword in MS-Ads vs. Google Search
- MS-Ads is MUCH more 'affiliate-friendly' with approving your ads and landing pages.
- "if it works on BING, it will work on Google"
- What about ad costs?  Isn't this going to be expensive???

Starting Slow, Simple, Cheap
- 1x Campaign for 1x Offer with 1x Conversion Mechanism and 5-10 related keywords.

Campaign - Optimized for Clicks
- 1x Adgroup - "ABC ADGroup"
- 5-10 Keyword Variations ("what to text a man to turn him on", "how to turn on a man through text", texts to turn a man on", but NOT "flirty texts" (too different)
- 3 Rotating text ads
-$10/day budget (max. $20)
