365 Days (and Hundreds of Creative Ways) Each Year
to Boost Your Brand, Promote Your Products and
Market Your Merchandise Using Little-Known,
Unique Holidays and Observances

There are 365 days in a year and you can use many of them to consistently position your brand, product or service in front of a hungry (buying) crowd --- all year long!

Don't wait around for the major holidays (ex: July 4, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Christmas, New Year's Day) to market your product. That's when you'll go up against stiff competition.

There are hundreds of other, unique and little-known observances you can use to cleverly tie-in your product or service to and make bank.

I found searchenginejournal.com while "playing around" online this morning. On that site, there is a very useful post entitled "Holiday Marketing Calendar Template." I'll share the link further below.

But before I do, here's how you can use this resource:

- Plan your marketing and promotional events in advance using selected dates as targets to advertise your product or service;

- Stage public events that tie-in to your product or service to promote awareness of your business;

- Use local and national observances as "talking points" to tie in with your product or service when doing media interviews, webinars and more; and finally,

- Create content for articles, blogs, websites and press releases that tie-in to local, regional or national holiday observances.

ONE CAVEAT: I advise you to be flexible when using event dates to publicize your business or product offering. Since COVID-19 has all but wiped our holiday and observances slate clean for an entire year, you need to make adjustments. One example I can offer is this: August is usually Back-to-School Month but since COVID-19, this year, kiddies are planning their return to school in late April in some jurisdictions; and even later (or not at all) in others. If Back-to-School is a theme that could benefit your promotional needs, be flexible. Keep an eye on the news and it doesn't hurt to have a few people in education to keep you posted about what will happen when.

Look at your product or service and think of as many ways as possible to tie-in at least one event or observance each month and you can put your product before the buying public the entire year.

This is a very good way to promote digital products like printables and other low-content products like e-books, journals, trackers, and such. But it can be just as effective for hard goods like physical products.

Not all observances will be suitable for your needs but there are so many that are that you won't go empty for opportunities to promote your products.

You will need to plan months (not weeks) in advance to take full advantage of these opportunities. You will need time to gradually build up momentum and create a frenzied buzz for eager buyers to anticipate the offer.

Each year, Chase publishes a calendar of observances and national holidays. In each volume, you will find little-known, unusual celebrations of people, places and things to entertain and enlighten you. You will also find dozens of creative and effective ways to tie-in your business, brand or offerings for year-round promotional opportunities.

This annual doesn't come cheaply. If you check the price on Amazon.com for the 2020 edition, you will see what I mean. I managed to find the 2014 edition and posted a download link below. It is very much relevant to use because holiday observances rarely change from year-to-year. Chase updates its calendar each year, primarily, to add new observances.

You're welcome, kudos2you. These little-known observances offer tremendous opportunities for marketers to put their offers before the public each and every year but most put focus only on the major holidays. Then they are up against incredible competition.
