I don't think he is, I think Canada changed some law about email marketing.

Yes, that change in who you can email in Canada is based on the strictest optin rules on the planet. Jason isnt the only marketer that has decided to go that route (they all have the same lawyer maybe?!). Fines are extreme for each 'instance'. If you send email to us Canadians you are subject to those rules, regardless of country of origin.

There is no 'put me on email lists' list to signup on for us.

You think Frank Kern got busted on by the FTC for something that wasnt his direct doing? LOL I am guessing that the bureaucrats are itching to find their first test case, and fill the federal coffers. I can see the headlines now:
US Dollar tumbles as Canada has first budget surplus of century (thanks to some (now) very poor Internet Marketers in USA).

Former Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau once said "government has no place in the bedrooms of the nation". Well, I am an adult and I should be able to make my own choices about email. I know how to use the delete/trash button!! :rotflmao:
