to everyone else, i give my sincerest appreciation! and excuse my french, ... p.s. i bet you did not know, french fries were created in the united states! yes, it is true! they originally were called french cut fried potatos. later, frenched fried potatos... you could not call them fried fries, that is too confusing to people even today so they dropped the last 2 letters because people had a hard time spelling them, some menus called them frenhced fries or frenked fries

the japanese were the first to fry veggies, and the french copied them, yes, the french may have fried potatos but they got the idea from the united states, the french fried their veggies copying the japanese during a japan revival period in their history

american chefs tried to copy the fancy french chefs and could not make tempura correctly, so one american chef dropped some finely cut potato's in oil, fried food is all the rage in the southern united states! fried chicken anyone?

anyway, also to avoid confusion, some chefs believe falsely that the 'frenched' part comes from frying food, that is also incorrect, the frenched comes from the finely cut process, the french chefs love to finely chop their veggies, the japanese often cubed them, diced into cubes, but the french cut veggies into thin strips often called julienne... people still cannot say julienne, so today they often say french cut

just like we have french cut fries, some american companies still write that on the labels!

and in closing, believe me, i am NOT angry, i get a great laugh from these stupid idiots who think someone ELSE is stupid when they should be looking into the mirror at themselves! you have to feel sorry for the fools, because sometimes, more often then not, you cannot FIX stupid!
