@kentra and blackryder: I had no problem and I downloaded from Scorpio's nofile link. I started not to and anticipated issues because it's a file host I'm unfamiliar with.

I put in our normal BBHF password to begin the download.

I opened the archive with .7zip and read the readme.txt file. Never did I get a message that the archive was corrupt.

I looked inside the Patch file. I went back and installed the original .exe file. I unchecked the box where it say to start the program on installation. I didn't know whether that would call home and I wanted to be able to get my ducks in a row with replacing the patch .exe file.

When I installed, my anti-virus tried to block a file called irsetup.exe but I added it to my exceptions list. I figured it was needed and was a B-H type of thing.

The installation went smoothly.

I went to my C: directory and found the program by name. I opened it. I then went to the crack file and got the .exe file out and dragged it into my open installation directory on my C: drive. My computer asked if I wanted to replace one file with the other and I confirmed.

I closed both directories.

When I went to open the program, my Avast A-V program said it wanted to do a quick scan ... just to make sure I was safe. It did it's thing and found nothing.

Both kentra and blackryder seem to be having file corruption issues and my post speaks more about how to handle the files once you get the download.

Nonetheless, my download went smoothly the first time. So, if you got a message saying the file is corrupt, all you can do is try the download again. It possibly had something to do with the way the file was transferred. A small glitch in the transfer could have put a hiccup in the download.

I have tried different browsers, sharing on dropbox, and JDownloader. The direct download doesn't work
despite the site stating that I have entered the password correctly. it sends me to a /invalidSession link.
I do notice that the file size is 33.42 MB on nofile but my shared to dropbox is 11KB.
As you know this is not my first download, lol .
I guess I will just sit this one out, many thanks again for all your help.

@kentra: I'm glad you sorted it out. I started to ask if either you or blackryder was using some kind of VPN tool because that could be an issue with some downloads. I have the Avast VPN tool ... when I've used it, I definitely noticed issues with downloads where, as soon as I turned it off, everything went smoothly.

I don't know if blackryder ever got his (or her?) issue resolved but it always helps when you report a problem to give as much detail as possible. Like what browser you're using, if you're using a VPN and the details of any error message(s) you get.

As for the virus issues, I find it strange that my Virus Total shows 0/58 whereas kentra's shows 3/66. It's almost as if the host site served up two different files.

In post #12, I mentioned that the download went swimmingly but mid-way the install, my A-V detected something called irsetup.exe and wanted to abort the installation but I overrode it and added it to my exclusion list. Now, I don't know if that was a smart move on my part but I know that with black-hat files, virus detectors will scream bloody murder at crack and patch files ... so that was a leap of faith I took. Strange, though, that all came out clean on the V-T scan.

If you're experiencing the file corruption issue that at least 2 others have reported to the thread, you should use kentra's feedback and (temporarily) turn off your VPN to see if that solves the problem.

I hope anyone else who can confirm that this file is suspect can let the rest of us know. I certainly don't want to compromise my computer but so far, so good!

Hopefully, scorpio will come back on to confirm that this file is safe and to allay any fears.
