Sometimes I, too, will pass on a seemingly great download because it's mostly videos (and a LOT of 'em). I'm old school and prefer to read to retain information instead of hearing "talking heads" belabor instruction they can impart in 30 minutes stretched to an hour or more.

It's the same with all the outrageously sized internet marketing courses (5 gigabytes and higher). That's basically to justify the high asking price because in many cases, you can boil down the gist of the details for a much more compact product. All the convolution in these multi-part courses is designed to confuse and delay people from taking action, IMHO.

The same with webinars. The typical 1-hour webinar can be boiled down to 20 minutes of real meaning; the rest of the crap is social exchanges, feeble attempts at story-telling, etc., to stretch the time.

So, I get your drift. I just wanted to put the link where you (and anyone else still looking for it) could find it. But now, your explanation makes perfect sense to me.

A bazillion years ago, when vidoetape had just been invented and colour video cameras were big, heavy things - I took on a part-time gig as a cameraman for a college credit video course.
Even way back then I saw little value in using TV as a learning medium, and these days it is exactly as you said and IMO has not gotten any better or more useful for anyone who is capable of reading instead.

And webinars ??
Why bother - they are 99% just sales pitches to waste time on.
