No need to use this BS link or Facebook! AND BEWARE! This software tries to install THREE different spy/adware add-ons when installing and tries to change your default search engine to Yahoo! Even during installation, it tries to install a crippled trialware utilities program that IS NOT free! It works for a free piece of cr.ap software program, but I have not tested it yet. You know this and I know this, but what about newbies and the lesser skilled that don't know it. There are thousands of them on this forum. I personally see lots of clients every week or we talk remotely by Skype. Do you know how much crap even the so called "knowledgeable" or "expert" users have on their PCs? 5 toolbars, 20 pieces of spy/adware, 10 more pieces of assorted c.rapware of some kind, etc. Not everyone know this stuff. MAYBE, if the OP had bothered to tell people that, I may not have gotten so p.issed about it. I am not even convinced he tried it and, if he has, he probably has had his browser hijacked already. And I guess the other thing is: Don't act like you are so f*cking magnanimous or generous when you are giving free download info AFTER you have downloaded a few grand worth of stuff here. This supposed to be giving back to the community? In what f*cking universe is that some great act of generosity? So the hostility is not about the act as much as it is about the attitude. Hell, if it's free - at least try the da.mn stuff and then post a couple of sentences as a review. It may slow people from downloading this c.rapware they don't need. Case-in-point: If you have Nod32 or Kaspersky, why do you even need to look at this?! Those are industrial strength apps. People a lot smarter than me have hammered on both these apps and they are great. I use Nod32 myself. Few here need everything that gets posted, but they will download it anyway. In this case, that can bite you on the a.ss. Personally, I have better things to do than bash a newbie - just to bash a newbie. I don't do it without a reason.

I got sucked into the iobit.. cra pware.... it pretends to work I think... but does more harm than good...
and there are add ons... you don' t need... it's just junk.. not worth it even if its free.. I got it cuz it was on CNET.. can't trust those clowns either.. my computer has so many issues.. it's insane. And NEWBIE...you deserve a little reprimanding.. don't come in here bossing anyone around until you prove you deserve some respect.. this share while you may have intended good is really potentially bad for people.. so just be cautious. help others.. post good stuf.. review. .. etc.. |
