HubPages used to be a PR6 Site but after the Panda update it dropped to a PR5 while Squidoo remains a PR7. So, this is no reason to forget about using HubPages as a source for creating actively monetized articles that link directly to an affiliate program or even to your website. Many 'Hot Hub' rank on page 1 and 2 of Google for their particular search term. This doesn't mean that these 'Hot Hub' pages are PR5 it just means that they contain quality content for the search term.


Good fresh quality content of a proportionate length and good tags are key. Using similar tags on each of your hub pages that contain content of a similar nature or similar keyword phrases will ensure all or most of HubPages will appear in the 'Related' pages sidebar menu for that keyword / keyword phrase where readers will click and read further, meaning your content gets seen and any monetization links may get clicked on.


Remember this, a good tip is to also interlink between your related pages using a contextual keyword phrase, this also ensures your content is seen, read and hopefully monetized.
