So do I but if I cannot be sure that Avast Premier is enough, the reason why I made this post initially, then why are you so COCK sure that Avast will be enough to stop this virus..

Remember..

Hackers are extremely clever nowadays and, as in this case, if there IS enough cash in it for them, they WILL ENSURE that their virus IS STRONGER than any antivirus program on the market today..

But, if that's your attitude, then don't come back and sy. I didn't warn you, when it's gonna cost you a packet to get your PC back online..

Hi, I don't mean to disrespect you or something that offends you. I would say thank you for sharing and warning us.
I actually did research and how to protect. What the IObit said is the same as in Avast's blog. I did install security update and this caused my system acting weird and everything become slow and unresponsive. So, I undo the installation by system restore and it was working fine as before. As a precaution, I already backup my data in external harddisk. I already had a talk with Avast saying that there is no need to install additional malware because Avast also have malware protection and already updated to protect against ransomware and also the recent attacks. They said to update the OS as recommended by MS.
Despite that, there is no guarantee that we will be protected even with anti-virus software we have. As you said, Hackers are more clever and they are becoming more sophisticated together with any improvement in the internet security.
