[GET] How to Find and Download Those "...For Dummies" Books
HOW TO FIND AND DOWNLOAD THOSE "...FOR DUMMIES" BOOKS Not long ago, I replied to a question someone posted on how to get "...For Dummies" books (see post here): http://bestblackhatforum.com/Thread-ASK-...or+dummies The post was already a couple of years old by the time I tried to help. I don't know if the OP ever saw my reply (or is even on the forum anymore) but I'm sure there are others with the same question. So, for those of you who may still wonder how, I'm posting here for you. Long-story-short, there is probably more than one way to do it. But here's one of them... Go to Library Genesis, here: Magic Button : In the search bar, type in... Magic Button : Here's a partial screen shot of my results: Before you begin to download a title you like, take note of the copyright year in the 5th column in Library Genesis. Unless you are looking for a specific year or want an older version for it's content, you will probably want the newest edition available. You can delimit the year to include only the most recent by adding the year to your search. Don't add more than one year per search or you may get zero results. Here's how to add the year to your search... Magic Button : To get your download, look to the far right of the screen. You will see the mirror files represented as numbers enclosed in [brackets] from 1 through 4. Usually, the first number is a good bet. If there is some error or you can't otherwise get the download there, try another number. Unless it is disabled or inactive (grayed out), you may be able to get the download from another mirror. Note, too, the language. Most of the books will be in English although some mirrors may be for foreign language editions. You should read the book title description or language (en = English) description to be sure. You can play around with the settings in Library Genesis to tailor the results you get. Some settings features (see image above) are: *** the number of results you get per screen (from 25 up to 100) *** to search by author *** to search by title *** to search by series *** to search by author *** to search by ISBN *** to search by publisher *** to search by language *** to search by year *** ... and more. Keep in mind that you can only get what is available in the Library Genesis database to download. That means, while you can type in a specific title of a "...for Dummies" book, if it isn't available in the database, you will still get zero returns. Be mindful, too, of the format the available e-books come in. You may want PDF but your book is only available in epub, mobi or azw (Amazon Kindle's proprietary format). Well, download it anyway. Once saved to your computer, there are online and desktop apps available that will convert your book to the desired format. So, now you know one of the ways to find some of the popular "...For Dummies" books. Like I said, this isn't the ONLY way but it's a quick and easy one. Do you want an even quicker way...? Search the BBHF forum. Thanks to the generosity of many sharers here, you can have a feast downloading many of the best titles in the "...For Dummies" book series. Use the SEARCH TITLES field and type in "for dummies" (without the quotation marks) to get a dazzling list of titles. The only issue you will have is whether the download links are still active; which is why it is so important to mirror shares (unless the OP asks you NOT to) and to always start each forum visit by clicking the View New Posts and View Today's Posts links. That way, you will be among the lucky firsts to get most of the things you really want before the links die (in case no one provides mirror links). I hope you will find this information useful. for reading! Layna61524 |
