Get the right product in front of the right audience. BOOM! Can have great success with a $10 gross profit as with a $100. But it's pointless unless you've done your research and can get the RIGHT product with a solid ad in front of the right audience.

Poorly selected product with a great ad will bomb! Correctly selected product with a bad ad can still work but not as well as having a correct product with an mediocre ad. All about testing the ad but useless to do unless you have the product/audience game nailed down.

That's where you see those sales figures of $100,000 from single design t-shirts/hoodies come in when they got it all lined up.

Do your research first. Then build a PROFESSIONAL looking store. Instill confidence in the potential buyers. Get those two right and now TEST ADS.

There is always plenty of mention here that folks need to be 'action takers'...
These mentions frequently give me the impression of youth from those who have needs to keep moving...FAST.
(Yes, I know that some of the more senior, successful-seeming and experienced members here are actually into middle age or more, and this is not intended as any disrespect towards anyone due to their youth or otherwise.)

Just in response to the repeats I see of 'just take action', I suggest that for many there is backup - here's what I mean:
If $100 or more gets blown here and there via trying some seemingly terrific biz idea - no biggie, as the regular paycheck will fill those holes over time.

Not saying this to gain sympathy (a waste of life energies) or to be an utter bore, but:
For some of us - when the $30 allotted in the budget for food for 2 people and a dog has to be spent otherwise - even that small a loss can be serious.
The natural response in such situations is to proceed with caution as opposed to jumping into things which may leave too big a hole which a single, tiny income will not fill for too long a while.

Having said all that, what I share next is something I found today via pure serendipity.

I will say that in the following list, the titles of items 6, 5, 3 and 2 directly apply to myself (if not exactly the descriptions...) :

Unfortunately, people tend to mistake this trait as laziness which leaves you feeling underappreciated.

Number 2. You are considered socially awkward
As if those aren’t enough, your next struggle comes as a result of all the previous ones. If you are feeling uncomfortable during small talk, refrain from speaking if not sure, don’t get inspired by old and exhausted ideas, or if you feel more comfortable with ideas than execution, people tend to characterize you as socially awkward. Little do they know, this only puts more pressure on you making you feel more self-conscious about your social conduct.

Number 1. It is hard for you to fall in love
Finally, your quest for love is slightly more demanding than that of average people. Since you are much more cautious, analytical and independent than the rest, you tend to get mistaken for cold and high maintenance. Additionally, you can lack spontaneity at times, which makes your love interest, lose interest.

Funniest of all, I live with someone who makes me seem like a really aggressive action taker by spending pretty much every minute of waking time being eaten alive by that horrid (anti-)social media krap, and literally almost doing nothing besides that.
Having watched this degeneration only get worse for years already, it is also why I actively despise that life-eating (anti-)social garbage !!

I agree with smithnowt that for people belonging to poor countries would never take such a risk and I can an example of that. But here's the thing, I focused on 1 thing and made myself enough money that is consistent every month. After that I made another income source that I only use for investment purposes. This approach is how most successful people do work here.

I'll address what I highlighted in light blue, in your post quoted above, because it's essential. Everything else I see as a big personal excuse in an attempt to somehow validate NOT TAKING ACTION and another attempt to project this state onto us. No one is asking or suggesting you GAMBLE the essential money to live.

Money will never spit itself out of your or anyone elses computer. The mentions to take action is critical in making money. Taking action is a mindset and nothing more. That mindset involves lots of self-education, self-talk (this needs to be positive reinforcement as people lose when they quit), critical decision making, getting creative and dealing with obstacles, lots of endurance. WHY?

Because what I discuss, talk about and attempt to help people do is - CREATE A REAL BUSINESS -

I've talked with YOUNG people quit openly about what they are doing online for generating an income. The upper echelon of achievers all consistently had one key frame of mind - THIS IS MY BUSINESS -

Operative words there - MY BUSINESS -

Any successful business requires all I've listed above and more. Tenacity, self-belief, constantly asking questions concerning; efficiency, scaling, tracking, analyzing, execution, etc.

Youth has nothing to do with anything in this business. It has nothing to do with moving FAST either. Of course for people that just live in theory and never execute, any object in motion can be intimidating.

It might seem from my posts that what I do is easy or simply some - SEEMINGLY TERRIFIC BIZ IDEA - but the reality is that I expect people to - START TAKING ACTION ON THEIR OWN ACCORD -. That requires them to develop and utilize critical thinking skills applicable to their business.

I've written many posts describing my beginnings with online entrepreneurship. Learning to write articles, blog posts and product descriptions from TAKING ACTION and seeing what works.

That is critical. To get actual feedback from the market because it doesn't lie. The truths are self-evident because they're in your paypal, stats and analytics. Part of being a successful marketer and advertising entrepreneur is in deciphering those stats.

To someone that has never taken action then this might appear as blindly throwing darts over your shoulder hoping to hit the bullseye.

I'm cautious in the sense that I do plenty of nose to the grind stone research and everything required of me to have a successful campaign run. YES!

But once I finish all that caution is not in the equation. Now I'm smart because of my experience and research so I won't open salvo with $1,000 ad runs. NO!

All my campaigns build on sequential steps of action and feedback. Once I get everything lined up then it's full speed ahead and even then I'm carefully watching my analytics.

Ads are running and I got split test ads and more in the waiting. - I ACTUALLY LEARN FROM DOING! - - Fancy that. When a new campaign is struggling it forces me to get real open and honest with my market and myself.

None of what I do is be chance. Do I experiment? Yes, all the time but, that is recorded and looked at after I get data from running it. How else would I ever find out unless I took action?

I know of several 15-17 year olds that go to school, do their homework, participate in extra curricular school activities AND THEN... turn on their computer to run their business. Lunchtime they can turn on their phones to check analytics. Make some quick adjustments. But when they work, they are focused. Maybe they only get 1 hour per day Monday through Thursday. Then Friday night and Saturday with Sunday they invest more hours into -THEIR BUSINESS.

In any one day of observance it might seem like they can't achieve very much. But when you look at their monthly time allotment towards their business, many put in over 100 hours. Yet that STILL doesn't explain their SECRET. Does it? So what's the answer?

The answer is their consistent, self-driven action taking. They are not static. They're dynamically inclusive in self-education, experiential learning, equating to personal and business growth. They are responsible, disciplined, self-motivated people.

Their only secret is their consistency, adaptability, creativity, resourcefulness. They don't make excuses or send out invites for a pity party. They're to busy for stinking thinking. They're overcoming real business obstacles. E.g. from a starting $5day ad run to now it's up to $1,000day ad run with a strong but varied ROI - it gets intense! Win some, lose some but the wins always outdo the loses. Why? - LEARNING BY DOING!

Adapt and Grow or Quit and Die.

NO OTHER WAY TO MAKE MONEY EXCEPT BY TAKING SOME FORM OF ACTION.
