RE:
My Review:
First of all the guy has a full hard on with mobile applications. He even mentions on the video that mobile applications sooner will be the front-runner for people looking to earn lost of money while IM is going to slowly loose its shine. Now, I don't know how much weight is in that stance since I haven't dabbled into mobile applications yet. Secondly The WSO is not for those tight on a budget. This is the list of the things you need to get going:
The guys focuses mainly on Apple but the concepts applies for Android. Now the bulk of the content explains how to 'identify' hot selling app's that customers will buy using keyword planning. Unfortunately the guy doesn't talks about the technical side of re-skinning apps for which he mentions outsourcing android developers but mentions several resources at the end if the guide where you can learn to do on your own. You can actually learn re-skinning apps very little effort. All in all this is really a fun way to make money but sometimes as can be said with many other money making opportunities initial high investment can turn off many people from pursuing it. |

I started following the mobile app industry over a year ago (cant remember if it has been 2 or 3 years) and since I got started I have noticed a subtle rise in people getting involved with mobile development. I dont have hard facts as I know some will ask for them but thats just what I have been noticeing. If you look hard enough the info is out there. I will see what I can find in regards to mobile development becoming a front runner. also her is a mirror http://www6.zippyshare.com/v/61872945/file.html |

RE:
I get this news letter and it is usually up to date with in formation. I just copy pasta it from my email so enjoy!!!
Time for a little fun. In my ongoing effort to keep us all apprised of the latest trends and stats in mobile marketing, I came across this cool article on the Hubspot blog by contributor Jeanne Hopkins. She points out something I think we all ask ourselves from time to time--everyone keeps saying it, but how do we really know that mobile marketing is the next big thing? Here are just a few reasons she came up with after attending the recent Dreamforce conference in San Francisco. The growth of the iPhone was 10 times faster than the growth of America Online. (Source: Neilson) It takes 26 hours for the average person to report a lost wallet. It takes 68 minutes for them to report a lost phone. (Source: Unisys) It takes 90 minutes for the average person to respond to an email. It takes 90 seconds for the average person to respond to a text message. (Source: CTIA.org) 70 percent of all mobile searches result in action within 1 hour. (Source: Mobile Marketer) 90 percent of all U.S. citizens have their mobile device within reach 24/7. (Source: Morgan Stanley). You can read the rest of her cool facts at http://>>>[[[Reported by Members as URL Shortener! Post the actual link!]]]<<</kWKqTm, but here is what I want to leave you with today. Mobile marketing has not only arrived, it is here to stay. The wires that tied us to our computers for the first 40 years of the Technology Revolution have been cut into pieces and we are now able to do more on our mobile devices than we ever thought possible. And this is only the beginning. We are still in the days of the Wild Wild West when it comes to mobile marketing and app development. Which not only makes it one of the most exciting times in our history, but also one of the biggest opportunities for marketers like yourself to get your message out to the thousands of customers who are just clamoring to hear it. You can't put the tiger back in the cage. And I wouldn't want to. The world is changing rapidly and I can't wait to see where it takes us. here is another for you guys ;) Just read an article by Jamie Turner of the 60 Second Marketer that blew me away. Wanted to share some of the highlights with you, because if you've ever needed to convince someone that the world has gone mobile, some of these facts ought to do it. Jamie asked Cory Gaddis at Mobilize Worldwide to gather some essential facts about mobile marketing that everyone should know and these are just a few of what he came up with (along with my thoughts): According to Nielsen, 30 million consumers watch television content via their mobile phones. Makes me wonder why I invested so much in my big-screen HD television at home. Gartner says that by 2013, mobile phones will overtake PCs as the most common Web access device worldwide. Which is a reminder for all those web designers to brush up on their mobile skills if they want to stay in business. Exact Target reports that 16% of smartphone users report that they have made a purchase as a result of a marketing message they received on their phone. 55% purchased as a result of an email they received on their mobile device. Turns out email isn't dead after all. Nielsen also said that in Q3 2011, teens increased their mobile data consumption by 256% over the prior year. I hope their parents had them on unlimited data plans. Inneractive found that there is a direct correlation between the size of a mobile device's screen and the click-through rate (CTR) the device yields for mobile advertising. For instance, the iPhone yields a 4.35% CTR with a 3.5" screen, compared to a 6.61% CTR on the iPad's 9.7" screen. If this isn't a bit of incentive to make sure mobile is part of your overall marketing plan, I'm not sure what would be. This market is exploding and the only thing more exciting than watching it happen is figuring out new ways to take advantage of the opportunities it presents. If you want to check out the other fun facts that Jamie and Cory found, you can read the entire article online. |
