Whilst it's true that email marketing's the backbone of every business, digital or otherwise - you could be shooting yourself in the foot if you think just sending emails will make you money.

Been in this game a loong time, and subscribers can smell a scam, corn, desperation an email away.. you have to be authentic, you have to offer value, you have to create videos (YES) of yourself so your list can know and trust you.

My inboxes (I have multiple throw away email accounts) have 1000s of internet marketing emails, and they ALL SOUND THE SAME!
Buy this shiny object here and make money.. and I have NO idea who the marketer is.. all I know is their emails are fluff.. and they're promoting multiple products per email send.

So.. which product will make me money? If you send one product today, another in the afternoon, yet another offer the next day.. guess what.. your subscribers cannot trust you.

PLUS.. GOOGLE, YAHOO, MICROSOFT (all the major ESPs) will ban your email address and IP and send ALL your emails to the SPAM folder should they sniff a word of spam in your emails.. plus you need to have your DMARC, SPF and DKIM records straight.
