Hypnosis is simply a form of focused relaxation that helps you bypass the conscious (wakeful) mind and get at the subconscious (unconscious) part of the brain --- where the power lies.

Some people may fear or distrust hypnosis because when hypnotized, you are in an altered state of consciousness.
