Not sure if this helps but I edited the host.txt file by mistake instead of the host (select all files in dropdown) file. Now worked a charm.

I tried to edit the host file but it drives me to save another place, not in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etcwindows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts and says " you donot have the permission to save in this location. Contact administrator to obtain permission"

So how to save the host file?

Find your hosts file,
Right click and click "run as administrator"
Then when you go and save it... it will.
