There are so many problems behind all the 'c word' stuff...
(I speak as a 'cancer survivor' from personal experiences honestly acquired.)

The simplest of the lot is to realize that it has been a fear campaign for MASSIVE profits;

Less simple is looking at the REAL stats to see that the supposed illness itself seldom results in death vs. the so-called 'treatments' which kill people more often than otherwise;

Then comes the 'fighting' aspect of this whole fiasco - which reinforces the fears and ignores what this is really all about.

Truth be told we (as a species) are just too gullible, too prone towards obsessions, and have been misdirected such that we are not even looking at what our illnesses actually are - which is the most direct path to 'curing' one's own concerns.
(But this all is merely my own 2 cents upon this and other illnesses.)
