Dear Warriors,

I am shocked!
I got a little busy with my life that I lost track of my little
brother for a few weeks, and by accident while logging on Facebook I see
him posting pictures from Australia. Wait a minute he's supposed to be in Boston!

I give him a call and he doesn't pick up. He's not online.

What's going on?

I knew he just started his winter break,

But by god, where would he get the money to go to Australia from? Did he rob a bank?

A few days later I was finally able to connect w/ that brat, and not
only did he go to Australia to visit some friends, he then went ahead to
go to LA to visit more friends, and he even told me he's going next
week to Brazil to visit even more friends...

Not only that, Just a week earlier he bought google glasses for $1,600.

Surprised, I just said, "you're living your life huh?" He responds, "I guess [Image: wink.gif]

I continue: "But dude, just over a year ago we talked about how you're
going to pay off your living expenses while at school, and how much help
you're going to need etc..."

We figured, he had enough to make it through the first year and a half
and I/parents would probably need to help with his last semester, but Australia, LA, Brazil, Google glasses, were not on the plan!

What in the world was going on bro?

It was no secret to me that he had a handful of fan pages he was running on facebook on the side for fun...they were for hobbies he likes.
And he'd asked me a number of times to help him monetize it, and I
gave him a number of ideas. He followed some of them, tested others,
and came up with his own ideas.

It turns out that this little brat has just made $2,300 through Amazon commissions last month alone!

while attending graduate school full time, stressed with exams, and all
the extracurriculars. You see he's getting an MBA from an ivy league
school, and hardly has time to even talk to me...but he's been consistent about putting his 15-30min on facebook every day to make a side income.

All With just 15-30mins per day.
I went on his fan page to see what the heck he'd been doing and

I was utterly taken aback!

He’s following none of the conventional marketing tactics that I gave him and that I expected to do well.

He
figured out his own unique blend of marketing strategies that although
don't look like much at the surface, they work really well.

I was surprised to learn that having
no marketing background aside from one generic corporate-style MBA
marketing class can actually be a good thing when marketing on facebook,
b/c we're are taught all the wrong tactics.

I called him up and asked why don't you promote this and do this and that? You're wasting your time/money.

It was like a SLAP to my face!
