Udemy doesn't penalize but the problem is it won't do much promotions or rank this course top in their search because the student engagement will be pretty low. Hence if a student starts learning the course and the more he/she completes it the more engaging it will be in the eyes of Udemy search algorithm.

Thanks for your reply.
I'm no expert in Udemy and can't really say what's more or less important.
Of course, you are right, social proof is very important and this is why I have gave you guys a new code and I thank you for enrolling.
But if I want Udemy to promote my course I have to make sure student engagement is pretty good otherwise new students searching for my topic won't get to see my course and all social proof will be in vain here :P

Any way, I hope you are taking some good stuff from this course (I made sure that's quite a bit to take from it :) )

I Googles it for a min but thought your explanation would be better.
