It's funny you should mention about reinstalling your 7-zip software.
Because a couple of weeks ago I installed a current version of winRAR
after buying a license for a couple of bucks on ebay..
And my winRAR is performing very smoothly.

Unfortunately and as I've posted before at other shares - the problem seems to be region or ISP related because none of the tools or helper sites or using a VPN make any difference - it just quits, usually at over 1/2 way through, then nasty megasuck 'charged' off the BW used so that it hits their limit.

I've spent loads of time seeking a solution for this snafu only to find, well - nothing, really that will make it better.

Shares on Zippy, MF or other sites - all good, no matter the size, but mega just refuses to work well here.

I've literally tried everything to get the stuff I've got in mega to d/l and nothing has helped.

Contrasts:
Mediafire offers a free account with unlimited sharing/transfer and 10GB - it works fine and fast here - as does Google Drive.

An idea for mirrors:
One thing that works really, really well is using multcloud.com to transfer stuff between cloud accounts - so it may be possible to easily mirror the files from this share into Mediafire that way very quickly and easily.

Sadly, when I try to move my files from mega to another better cloud, mega stops the transfer with their dreaded quota exceeded error because I've tried so many times to get the doggone things OUT OF THERE !!!

Just use MegaDownloader and download all in one time. If quota happened than use any VPN software you want.

Now there's 2 ways to get those files, either directly from MF 1-by-1, or via Multcloud.

Avoiding the inevitable failures that megasuck makes is a great time saver.

On a completely different note - it is always possible to tell which users DO NOT bother to read threads all the way through, as shown clearly here:
