Version 5.5.X is better to use, However your mySql version should be updated,

I tied lot of versions of this script, but none worked, and after that you need GOOD SERVER FOR THIS THING, because it is upload script.

You need a dedicated server for such website, dedicated server with dedicated bandwidth, CDN will be perfect for it.
