Camtasia Studio is a powerful screencasting tool that makes it easy to record what's happening on your PC, convert the results into a polished presentation, then share it with the world.

Or, if you prefer, the program will upload your movie directly to YouTube or Screencast.com, TechSmith's own video hosting service.

For anyone who finds this thread confusing or wonders whether it's safe to do this, it's actually simpler than it looks.

All you really need is the fourth file listed in the links, the one containing the "patch." It's not a patch. It's a .reg file that updates the Windows Registry with valid registration info for the software. That archive also contains a 12 Mb binary file that may or may not be dangerous, but it doesn't matter because you don't need to do anything with it. You can delete it immediately and it won't make any difference.

Here's what I did, and it worked perfectly.

1. Downloaded the official 30-day trial version of Camtasia Studio from the official site.
2. Installed it as a trial.
3. Did not run Camtasia after install.
4. Opened the .reg file and let it update my Registry.

That's it. That's all. Camtasia Studio now appears to be fully registered.

In fact, I'll make it even easier. Here's the full content of the .reg file. You can see that it's totally non-malicious. Just save this using any filename with a .reg extension. This plus the trial download from the Camtasia site is all you need.

Although I never need patch to register mine...I just use serial keys found for camtesia studio v7 in google with my usual email ..and tada! mine is registered^______^
