RE: [GET] CELEBRATE NATIONAL INVENTORS MONTH!
Hey Layna!
GREAT idea for a share! As always, you really outdid yourself on this one! I love it! P.S. Did you consider also including some of the tried and true licensing courses we've had up here, a little more old school, from Rand Brenner and Ken Kerr? How about Bob Serling's infamous Inventor's course? Not to add even more to the mix lol- Thanks again! |

RE: [GET] CELEBRATE NATIONAL INVENTORS MONTH!
@Theo1: Thank you for posting. Ordinarily, I would add links to courses if I find existing links but this was intended to be a simple shout-out to observe National Inventors Month throughout the month of May.
I already had some very nice books on idea generation and licensing that I wanted to share some time ago. That is basically where my idea for this share originated. So I felt it was an added bonus when I searched Google for a few extra invention-related links only to discover that May is National Inventors Month. How timely! And finding those issues of Inventor's Digest was really pure serendipity. So while it took me a while longer to bring it all together to share, this turned out a lot bigger than I intended and I'm okay with that. My shares tend to take longer to post because I'm so fussy about what they look like. I go over my writing, formatting and tags in the editor until I am happy with the end result. And let me tell you, since I use a color picker app to add customized coloring to titles and subtitles and import images from my Techsmith Capture account, I have to hand-code a lot inside of the post. And I have had to pull my hair out on more than one occasion when one little slip-up in an opening or closing tag ruined the entire look of the post. It takes extra time to look for the error and correct it. So, long-story-short, while I planned to keep this share sweet-and-simple, it just didn't turn out that way. The more topic-related links I find in my searches, the more value I add to flesh out the final share and sometimes, this takes on a life of its own. @Football fans: Although I'm still around BBHF, I won't be here as much in the coming months. I was as happy-as-a-lark with the NFL Draft as far as New Orleans Saints picks went but as of late yesterday, Tyrann "The Honey Badger" Mathieu signed to "come home" and play for the black-and-gold on a 3-year contract! Most Saints fans are stoked and I'm one of them. I am looking forward to the upcoming months (organized team activities, mini-camps, preseason) to see how all these players pan out. Some prognosticators are predicting the Saints won't be "the Saints of Old" with both Drew Brees and Sean Payton retired. Well, in the last couple of seasons, Drew Brees and Sean Payton didn't necessarily look like Drew Brees and Sean Payton. I'm excited to see what Dennis Allen brings. I know his coaching tenure for the Raiders years ago wasn't good but anybody can learn something under Sean Payton's guidance and Allen has had a dozen seasons to learn and improve. He has already impressed me with the draft picks (although that's primarily General Manager Mickey Loomis's forte) and I am glad that he has decided to keep Taysom Hill at tight end instead of the hybrid QB/TE role. A lot of the same coaching staff and players remain so it should be a pretty good team. I've also got an eye on the free agency tracker to see which positions-of-need we get filled before training camp begins. This is an exciting time with the rookie draft class we got, the free agent signings and the undrafted free agents. I've got my renewal of NFL Sunday Ticket and am ready to go! So expect to see a lot less of me beginning later this month through February 2023 (after the Super Bowl). I'm optimistic and ready for the "New Look" Saints. In 2022, we'll have 9 home games and 8 away games (including one on neutral turf in England). Geaux Saints!
NOTE: For any NFL Sunday Ticket fans, I read that Amazon and Apple are the top contenders to get the contract after the 2022 season ends. This is not to say that DirecTV won't have it --- it just won't be exclusive to them. Hopefully, this will make the pricing a bit more affordable with the cost of EVERYTHING ELSE going off the rails. The games will be available on streaming services. Some have expressed concern about buffering issues. Other articles I've read complains about how expensive this will be for sports bar owners. Here is one of many articles I read about it... APPLE, AMAZON REPORTEDLY FRONT-RUNNERS FOR NFL SUNDAY TICKET BROADCAST RIGHTS Magic Button : for reading! Layna61524 |

Nice share Layna. Very interesting. The only thing that I have ever invented were excuses, but unfortunately, I never got a patent for them! 12days says again and GO COWBOYS! |

RE: [GET] CELEBRATE NATIONAL INVENTORS MONTH!
@12days: Thanks for posting. I think you'll have a hard time trying to get a patent for excuses. Everybody has a claim on that! I know I do!
As for your Cowboys, good luck with the new season. They don't play the Saints, so I am cheering them on to rout Tom Brady and the Bucs. And if they need a blueprint, they can look at the film of the last two regular season games in 2021 between the Bucs-Saints. I'll end my post here because I can "talk" football all day and this thread will be 10x what it is now. for reading! Layna61524 |
