[GET] Business Survival and Prosperity Guaranteed - Paul Hurst [pdf]
Business Survival and Prosperity Guaranteed: Avoiding the Deadly Pitfalls and Traps That Destroy 96% of All Small and Medium Sized Businesses
Don't buy this book if...
Do not bother reading any further, and certainly don’t buy the book if youare looking for a ‘Get Rich’ Scheme. It’s more along the lines of ‘Get Comfy Slowly’. Having started with no real capital, degree, family backing or even burning ambition, I sort of followed my hobby as it turned itself into a business. Making cock-ups and learning along the way, the end result is the fun, comfy, rustic lifestyle I was aiming for. The driveway remains sadly deficient in Bentleys or Aston Martins - I was happy when reaching the Morgan and Subaru stage. And please don’t buy the book if you think that business should be deadly serious. You can have a lot of fun along the way, and I hope that is reflected in the book. It’s got some nice little unique cartoons, as well, but is unlikely to appear on the Harvard reading list any time soon. I was going to say that the book is only for those of you wanting to start up, or boost your own business, but readers have been kind enough to say that it has a broader appeal. It does, after all include the story of the axe-wielding maniac, what car is best avoided if you are going to be a getaway driver and how one showroom blew a £15,000 sales opportunity whilst another converted the same enquiry into a £35,000 deal. And it does reveal the truth about what ‘luck’ is, and the scientist who has proved how you can quickly and easily make yourself ‘lucky'. “Started reading yesterday and was still reading an hour later (in spite of the fact that it is not a subject that I am particularly interested in…” So what is the book about?
Again, others have been kind. I shall use your book as the backbone to all my future business ventures. It is refreshing to read a book written with genuine integrity by an author who clearly has first hand experience of the 9-5 life from which you have escaped...Every aspect of your book makes complete sense...your book is superb... I just finished my first read-through of your "Business survival and prosperity guaranteed" book and I assure you I will re-read it a lot of times with all my attention! Thank you very much for writing it: aside from being a very pleasant read, it is indeed chock-full of solid advice that every self-respecting entrepreneur should follow (the fact that so many don't is saddening but not surprising...). The idea was to end up with a sort of manual that would also provide entertainment for those who prefer reading in ‘the smallest room’ (oh come on, we all do it!). Whilst it can go off at tangents a bit in places (there was so much I wanted to tell you about), sandwiched between the anecdotes and cartoons there are nuggets of information, tips of what works in real life and the results learned from practical experience. If you’ve already built up four companies of your own, cocked up your first one completely (yes, all the gory details are revealed), worked in book keeping, accountancy, banking County Court, retail, management, advertising, building, civil engineering and importing amongst other areas, then there may well be nothing new here for you. RE:
Looking forward to reading this one as an example of what I could write ... the sales page / Author's introduction is a wholly fresh and interesting approach.
Thanks for making this available and easy to get. - AllD |
