I am a fan of Ben's as he gets right into what is working for himself. It is a good way to learn a model for working less while increasing your income.

Over time I have been trimming out parts of my business and moving more and more into product creation and Copywriting. Those are the top two most lucrative things that I do when I weight time spent vs dollars earned.

I highly recommend that once you have some experience under your belt, you do the same thing. Concentrate on Copywriting first. Email marketing is a part of that niche. Learning to get new clients or keep existing clients via email is an awesome skill.

This is why when I came across this Ben Settle product, I decided quickly to share it here on BBHF. Many people reach out to me about how to build an online business that they can make a living doing. Ben offers some very smart ways to increase your skills in email marketing.

I've always enjoyed Ben Settle and his very "Gary Halbert-esque" writing style and old-school philosophy of keeping things simple with (1) opt-in page and (2) relentless email-follow up sending people to a sales letter which includes the very basic, simple but effective:

1. Headline
2. Lead
3. Bullets
4. Guarantee
5. Close

It's much in line with what Ken McCarthy talks about too, where a lot of very profitable 6,7 and 8-figure businesses just has:

1. Squeeze page
2. Email follow-up
3. Sales page

You can obviously squeeze A LOT more juice out of that setup by incorporating lots of bells and whistles, but if you want a simple, hassle-free business it may be all you really need.

You are so right here with the items you highlight. It is easy for people to get overwhelmed and then do nothing at all when the fact is if you keep it simple, build out the bones and get it up and running, you may surprise yourself with the results you get.

Ken McCarthy and his System Secrets product have laid the foundations for many online businesses. I read his stuff a long time ago and what he outlines way back then still works well today.

I have another long post/thread about Russell Brunson and the way he builds his businesses and Ken McCarthy fits right into that model also.

Human nature has changed very, very little over the years. We are still driven by the same basic stuff that we have always been driven by. The tech about how we get the message out may have changed a bit, but the words and ideas behind that remain the same.
