downloaded the shareware and found this, my guess it is a FP

The change I mention here is pretty recent:
S.O.S. (I really like the alternate meaning of this acronym...) is now using a crappy downloader thing that gets detected.
This is because it is flagged as unwanted s/w.
Before they made this change you would get a REAL DL link.
Now you get a link that leads to their own app that installs extra krap BEFORE you can get the offered freebie.

S.O.S. also (usually) uses the same exact reg code for ALL users, so maybe someone who got this thing will share that here for others who want it - 'cuz the DL for it is available at the dev's site.
(Spoiler tags or in an attached TXT file if one wishes to be discrete, of course.)

Just did my own Virus Total and the file .exe is clean

So I can only assume that this is a legit file

I invite everyone to check it out for themselves before deploying it



Size is always the key to truth 132 meg file is the actual file size

Fact is Smithnowt my bandwidth is less than 1 meg
The download from the site failed and I was given a choice
to manually download it , which I did ..so the file is clean
I have never had a problem with sharing anything on BBHF
I share from sites that are most likely to have pretested .exe files.

I have received my share of viruses from shares here, so i Know
How it feels to lose a Hard Drive worth of goodies my friend.
I wouldn't do that with others here, that have gone out of there way to help me
and my family for many years .
