Thank you for the share with the community. I already have both of these books, but wanted to add my comment.

The version of Sun Tsu - The Art of War you have is a difficult read for me.

True that this is one of the earliest translations from ancient Chinese into French, then from French into English, and yes it has a lot of footnotes and commentary..

Still, it is some tuff slogging to work your way through this book that is at the core of most well-read military (and business) strategist gameplan.

I much prefer the version put out by James Clavell. Yep, the same guy that wrote Sho-Gun, Tai-Pan, Noble House, King Rat, Whirlwind, and a few others.

It is a much harder version to find as when you do a search for most Sun Tsu stuff, you get the public domain version you have on offer. That version is spread far and wide.

For those that are interested, and want a "clean" version of Sun Tsu's The Art of War, here is a link for that little gem that I believe is a masterpiece. It is such a gem that I decided to make a new post for it.

I actually have a really old, print copy of that exact book and it can still be bought as amazing as that sounds.
