I'd be fairly confident that Mr. Morin isn't using this traffic source because he loves to throw money away on "crap." When one of the most successful, most experienced marketers on the planet says "this works" ... I'm inclined to listen. If he is making it work and we can't achieve what he's achieving that's a reflection on our abilities, not the traffic source.

If I heard correctly (2.5X speed viewing) he's making multiple sales per day from a $25 daily spend BUT I get the impression he's making $1 trial sales (as advertised in his co-reg ad) and that the jury is still out on the $97 monthly conversions after 2 weeks.

So "this works" is actually open to debate until the ROI is clear.

I have had mixed experiences with Leadserve but have not used them for a while -- I am intending to test them again in a new niche.

The last time I used them, when my leads were put into GetR I got ZERO open rates on 3 (automated) consecutive emails. Never known that before or since. I'm not a newbie at email marketing but suspect I made a balls-up of it while trying out some GetR advanced features with which I wasn't familiar.

Mr M. claims 20% Open rates. Others I trust have claimed similar. When I moved the list to my own mailing system rather than GetR I got just over 12% Opens but I'd already "lost" the list's momentum by that time, it was a few weeks later and from a co-reg opt-in such neglect is going to hurt.

I made enough sales of a $19.95 product (my ad explicitly mentioned I was selling, and stated the price) to cover ad spend plus a little more. I'm confident I would have been profitable if I'd stayed in the niche and promoted more, even starting with the handicap of a neglected list.

Good luck to those who wish to test water or still believe this traffic source is decent. Well for me i give this a pass.

I ran a recent week long experiment with leadserveads service and got leads for $0.28 and built up a list of 1033 leads into one of my test mailchimp accounts. I targeted their health and fitness category and sent them daily newsletter with really useful content and some of clickbanks flatbellydetox offer which is the number 1 offer in the health and fitness category so it should convert. Nope not with my list. Just crickets. $289 total ad spend with $0 roi so far

The open rates and ctr was half below the industry average on both. I tried to even create a custom audience in Facebook and less than 1% of the leads from my 1,033 leads matched anybody's account on Facebook.

So, good news yes its very cheap to build an email list very fast. But quality I have to agree most people are using junk emails they rarely check or ever plan to use. So hope that helps. I wish it was different because email is how I learn about most offers, but listserveads is not something I can recommend as of now.

I ran a new test for USA women in their beauty industry I got leads fast, but 90% of the leads came from China not United States. Complete crap leads.
