I find it very hard to believe he made $10,000 copying products from amazon on to his own site to do the sale via paypal

Most buyers will skip buying from unknown sites and jump right to big boys like amazon and eBay where they have guarantees, plus where's he getting all this buyer traffic?

The idea is focus on a niche. Instead of browsing the big Amazon for the product you wanna buy, it will be easier finding them put together on a niche based website. Thats the idea. Saving people time to buy their stuffs.

What he is suggesting is a poor man's version of drop shipping. Here are a couple of suggestions that will in my opinion work better. First, find your own drop shipper vendors and sell the products yourself on Amazon. I have done that and this past year sold over $200K worth of products. The key is to find products that are popular, have few competitors and sell enough to allow you a profit after cost of product, shipping and Amazon fees. Second, create your own webstores and do the same thing. By creating your own webstores your will not have to pay fees to Amazon, however you need to market and promote your webstore to get the traffic. You get plenty of traffic on Amazon. The key with your own webstore is getting traffic, which is not as simple as it seems. Don't forget that once you have your drop ship vendors plus your own inventory management system that you can also focus on other channels besides Amazon such as eBay, Rakuten, Sears, etc.
