Some notes to add in case they may help others=> As a Linux user who only uses XP in a VM and no newer version of that OS, I needed to know these 2 things: Does it run under XP ?? Yes, it does. Can it be used under Linux ?? Yes, it can. For a bunch of years I've wished and hoped for someone, someplace to make an online app that could be self-hosted on shared hosting to do about what this does...but never did find anything like that. The closest I've found to what I desire that is pretty good is Jotter: Code: https://github.com/yosko/jotterThere have been several self-hosted things that claimed to be evernote work-alikes, but sadly they were nightmares to get installed - and since I'm no sort of coder, I've stayed alert for anything better. Another option is Tiddlywiki, but since they forced an upgrade some while back, self-hosting it is not really an option anymore. It always surprises me to see folks going for SAAS things when they already have their own domains and hosted spaces !!
