I still have 100% blank domain listed and ranked in google even after all these pandas and penguins and rats and sloths and whatever the hell else they let loose. Just saying this to emphasize that you don't need a lot of content. Exact match and related links are magnets for google. It's all about similarities/symantics.

You want to really make this work? Include a bunch of different images from "closely related" topics. Remember google wonder wheel? Think like that.

Question: When you first setup your blog, isn't it logical that you post a lot of content first instead of adding a lot of content after a month.

probs 'cause at first it will take a while for posts to get indexed and by that time news related search terms drop.

Thanks for the comment. Registered a new domain already. Gonna give this a go. Maybe I can twist the method a little bit. Wordpress comes in handy with his plugins and sharing on other social networks. :)

I dont really see how you can make celebrity gossip blog from this, you usually need to buy the copyrightet pictures. I tried searching Flickers Creative comons but all the images are like 2 years old.

Celebrity Gossip is really difficult to rank at the moment but you'll see instant results for a short time. Give it a little twist. Find a niche/subniche. Google Trends is your friend. Howto's, quote images, DIY,... are very hot at the moment. Blog + Facebook + Pinterest + Twitter + ... = massive traffic.

It doesn't have to be focused on celebrities. There are all kinds of trends and news you can use for this type of site.

Plus, there are plenty of ways you CAN use it in a celebrity niche if you think outside the box. For example, a parody site can freely use some images and content as long as it's geared towards a parody. Look up copyrights and image rights use.

Ok, thanks guys. What if i use copyrighted images but i remove the tags or put mine above them. I dont think that people are activly searching for copyrighted content and reporting it, also can i expect lawsuit in worst case or just removal of my site.

I bet there is a tons of sites that go away with stealing pictures like third grade fansites and so on.

I wouldn't try that if I were you. If you are planning to monetize the website make sure you are safe.
Since we are a great sharing community, you have to look out sometimes.
I will give you some tips if you like.

First use an adsense theme with a great ctr: http://wordpress.org/themes/heatmap-adaptive
It's free and it's optimized to place your ads anywhere.

Second: There are a lot of free stock photo website. Just use Google for example: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=images+without+copyright

Last but not least: Generate some traffic from social media, slideshare, whatever...
