RE:
I was very glad to see this manual from Randy again. I paid the full price awhile back. It IS humorous, but the man has definitely done the work and explains the challenge well.
I write copy for a living too, but in a tiny niche (less than 10K prospects). A small niche can be very profitable to operate in, but you have to love doing it yourself. Not much possibility of outsourcing anything except your website work. You can average ~ $500/year per customer and keep them for years, because you become the "voice of the niche". A few hundred customers can set you free. And it doesn't feel like work. Steven King found a niche he loved and averages $40 MM a year inhabiting it. By the way, King's book On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft, goes well with Randy's material. It shows from a master - how to love what you do and how it is almost impossible to fail by following some clear logical steps. You can get a copy of On Writing: .... at Amazon or a pdf here: Magic Button : AbeLincolnBart "Success leaves clues, but rarely within reach of a couch." ---Blair Warren |
