[GB QUESTION] About nulling GB products
I have a small dilemma that I'd like your feedback/opinion on.

I spend a lot of time, effort and often personal resources on providing shares and quality cracks for BBHF.
Most of the time I use my own ways to find or finance the source files for the cracks but it's not always possible.
Often I find valuable stuff for BBHF through REQ and my own null request thread.
However, sometimes a good plugin and software source is nowhere to be found apart from GB section.

It is my understanding that people join GBs to get a clean code, valid license, guaranteed updates and possible support from devs.
Hence, in situations where the soft/plugin requires license to run, the actual GB payment is for the license, not the source files of the program, as the program files are useless without the license anyway.

Armed with this belief, I have in the past approached several GB members asking for some valuable tools for me to crack and share with BBHF community.
Several of my shares have been delivered solely through generosity of these GB members.
However, there's significant confusion about the subject.
Some have replied to me stating that it is clearly against the rules of GB.
I always give credit to my sources but in these cases I ensured total anonymity of GB members, not to stir up controversy.

Now, I have a very simple question that I'd like your opinion on:

Is sharing programs/plugins that have been bought through GB with a cracker in order to share the cracked version with the rest of BBHF against the forum rules?

And furthermore - if it's not, is it ethical/moral in your opinion?
Perhaps some extra conditions need to take place like, for example, sharing such nulls only in VIP section?

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the subject, it would help me deliver more hight quality shares and not feel that I'm bending the rules to do that.

Thanks to everyone, any feedback welcome.

Cool

RE:
Well, and this is just my personal opinion, if a particular product will not work without the license code then you acquiring the source without the license, shouldn't be a big problem. A questionable area might be stuff from CC, if it were done on a GB. Since the majority of CC stuff works without the license.

I think ultimately it's going to boil down to the people who paid for the GB. Whether they, as a group, are ok with the matter. I understand the GB organizer has the ability to give you want you need. But those other people may "fee" cheated.

As for the whole morality thing, GB are shady enough in their own right. I'm sure at no point in time a dev was thinking "yeah it would be cool to let 1 person buy our product and share a small group of people with it". As for cracking software, just as shady, but you at least get to test your skills more :)

I've been on GB where I did feel shaded, but wasn't buy the GBO, it was because of it being a crappy product. I've been the GBO and to date "knock on wood) I haven't pissed anyone off yet.

My suggestion would be to approach the GBO and say hey "I see you finished up your GB" "Does that product require an actual license to be used? If yes then say, "If at possible I would like to get the source code file from your GB. I don't want or need the license. I just want try and crack the software."

Or something like that.

Otherwise I'd say keep dealing crack bro! And if you need some fresh source let me know. I might have something.
If you've participated in a group buy and had a good experience then let others know.

RE:
Without wanting to repeat what has been said before, I am in full agreement with the view as expressed by AnubisTCP, especially the one of approaching the GBO after it has closed.

I have been a successful GBO myself in the heydays of when GB was not being over-exploited, and quite frankly, I think that there are far too many around these days. Most of the times I just wait for the expert crackers like ENIC to do their magic where possible, so just with a little patience, the product will eventually surface on out wonderful BBHF.

RE:
In my opinion as long as the GB is finished and everybody have the valid license, and only the unlicensed raw script/plugin is share to the cracker and makes their magic on that software their is no wrong about about that(developer of the software disagree :)) ).

Everyone in GB member already have the valid license that a plus on their part that is the only matters. So if someone crack that software and share it on VIP only the downloader or leechers will have is the cracked software and not the licensed one and lived with it if the cracker decide to update it or not.

It will also give a fair opportunity for them to test if the software really suit their needs and eventually(most cases not) buy that software directly to the developer if they earned money using the cracked.

RE:
I thing this forum is about sharing and caring!
One of the most important aspects here, that seperates us fro of from the masses, is that (most of us) are willing to share, and help out eachother.
BUT. I think all the nulled shares should stay in VIP.

And to OP.. Enic, Thank you for all your work!
