The only problem with candle stick patterns is the market makers also know the setup in algorithms, and know where people put their entry and stop orders, and will take out all the stops, take all the dumb money traders(the investing public), then they make their move, with all the books on trading patterns for decades, if they worked why do 80-90% of traders fail? looking at a combo of fibs support/resistance and Volume Spread Analysis gives a clue when the smart money(professional traders) are done and ready to turn! you can waste your account away losing countless pattern trades or wait for the one that all lines where you see major selling with vsa and its not moving lower, thats where i would start to look for a entry in my favor where the smart money is done shorting and covering and ready to reverse. Just my 2 cents!
