RE: [F4LT] Python 2.0 Tutorial for the Beginners: Learn Effectively
This course isn't really worth the time. It's approximately a 50 minute course. The instructor included a random with girl who appeared to be coding, but it's just a reflection in a monitor. The courses are simply labeled 1-6, so there's no way to tell what course covers what. It was probably never updated after it was released, which means the person isn't really invested in the course.
Python 2 was released on October 16, 2000. Python 2.7 (the last version for 2.x) was released on July 3, 2010. It is no longer under development, and in 2020 it will be discontinued. There are quite a few differences between 2.x and 3.x, but a google search will take care of that. Simply put, if you're just starting out you're better off learning on 3.x. I'd tell anyone the same thing even 10 years prior, if you are/were starting out in python you should start with 3.x. |
