COURSE DESCRIPTION

A course that will demonstrate and teach students proper first aid for minor wounds, major wounds, choking procedures and CPR on adults, children and infants. A brief description of how to properly apply and use an Automated External Defibrillator. Some medical terminology will be defined to help the first aid attendant better diagnose incidents. The course is structured into three separate categories: basic first aid, advanced first aid and CPR. Slides will include audio to help guide along the process and procedures of proper first aid analysis, symptom recognition and treatment. This course is a good refresher or new material that every person should know to be able to assist in small incidents such as insect bites and allergic reactions as well as more severe incidents such as: heart attacks, strokes, anaphylaxis, fractures and choking.
