Do you need to get AZ prime for cheap ??
I did and had been seeking a solution for a while because our existing 1/2 price student prime is about to end 'cuz it hit their 4 year limit.
The key (of course) is to get a valid gmail based EDU email account - NOT easy to find anymore, and then to do the steps correctly with a brand new AZ account. Last week I located someone selling EDU accounts for $5 - and they sort of left out that those are outlook online only accounts - totally useless krap because the school they are from has to manually ALLOW emails to flow. (Good thing I could get that refunded as it wasn't worth even 1 cent !!) Finally I was able to find someone selling gmail based EDU accounts - for all of $3 and I figured for that cheap it was worth risking. TaaDaa !! $3 worth of pure gold. DISCLAIMER: I have no affiliation with this seller - I am not him and I bought this ONE time only, so YMMV. Hopefully it is OK to post that seller's deal here for others to use and if it isn't I'll happily remove it: Magic Button : That seller is called 'reliable_service' and says the accounts come with 2 months warranty - which I don't really care about because it got us back into prime already with the 1st 6 months free. It is VERY important to note that if you are already a prime student member and running out of time as we did - you CANNOT re-up with the same AZ account and you need to be careful not to leave them too many bread crumbs between new and old accounts 'cuz they watch for those. So do this: Open a new, regular AZ account with a slightly altered name and addresses - NOT YET using your EDU email at all. (I used a Textnow number and a regular gmail account for this.) If you don't want to check your new EDU account for any emails which may come into it - set that EDU gmail to forward to your regular account and archive it afterwards (or not). Since you only use it to get the 1/2 price prime and do NOT use your EDU email for the normal AZ emails - there should be very little email going to it at all. (This way if the EDU email fails you'll still have your AZ emails reaching you.) Then, go to the prime page in your -new- AZ account, find the student deals and select the yearly - which is their best deal. After that it will ask for your EDU email - to verify it as well as your phone - you'll need to have a payment method on file too if you intend to really use it to get the free shipping - and BANG! - here comes your 6 months of free prime. Sorry if that seems like alot - I tried to make it detailed enough for folks who are in a situation like ours. If you have not grabbed prime student before it IS a bit simpler. Another very cool thing that I found is a seller who is offering a 12.99 lifetime shared deal for netflix UHD 4 screens - but I haven't bought that and I hesitate to post that URL openly here - maybe PM me if you want to get that info. HTH some folks.

Fantastic step by step Instruction Mate! Please add the country where this method would work! I assume it's only for US?

RE: Do you need to get AZ prime for cheap ??
Thanks for the great replies Folks !!
My POV on prime is that unless somebody gets loads and loads of stuff or very heavy items with huge shipping charges - their current $140 price is too high even with all the newly increased shipping charges (no sympathy for that rich giant, sorry). But 1/2 price for regular folks and 'specially if they use the videos and such - DEAL !! Aside of all that, being able to sign up with the EDU email ONCE and telling the site the longest graduation date in the dropdown has worked well in the past even if the email krapped out soon thereafter(as mine did before...). @Discomix: Country-wise - I've no idea as I'm in the US and not about to move away - my guess is that if you seek an EDU email in your country after looking at the local AZ prime offers, you'll find out what you need to know - but that is just a guess.

@DacInBC:
It is as clear as I can make it in the OP and reply #5 !!! When you buy an EDU email it is best to use it for discounts RIGHT AWAY - because now and then the college will purge them. So - you pays your $3 - grabs some stuff for cheap and if it sticks around for years - great - if not, you already got your $3 worth !! As to az prime - they usually just check that email ONCE and then tell you you're done with the discounted annual rate sometime AFTER 4 years has passed. HTH.
