Do you depend upon email$ for MMO ??

To start with, a candid revelation:

I've been a Yandex user for quite a while.
Folks gripe that it is Russian - OK - but it has always been quite good in the years I have used it.

When other email domains of mine may have been bounced in some way Yandex always got through...until lately, I'm sad to say.

This problem came to my attention when I sent an email to someone I've been in constant contact with for years via that Yandex address - and the recipient is a gmail user.

It was bounced with a total BS mailer daemon message, which fortunately I know how to comprehend.

There are quite a few serious concerns in this matter:

- If you are someone who depends upon emails for any reason at all, and send some emails to (or through) a big tech domain like gmail - any or all of those can get blackholed WITHOUT any sort of notice given to you, so=>
You have no idea that those simply vanished, nor do the intended recipients.

- Big tech domains are now using AI to censor emails - and the results are the same as above.

- If you depend upon ANY products of big tech that go through their servers there may be any number of things which just vanish without a trace, for example=>
SMSs sent to g voice numbers that never arrive.

Sadly there are no real work-arounds in terms of outsmarting the AIs - encryptions are child's play for them, so-called 'secure' email will not do it, nor will having your own domains for email.
(Unless those emails are directed to someone else's owned domain and NOT big tech's servers.)

This is just another way for big tech to take control of our lives which leads to even more isolation when we are unable to know what happened to our email connections with friends and/or distant family members.

Another sign of the times - and NOT a happy one at all.
