Chindogu was born.
The planets formed. The Earth cooled.
Creatures emerged and one of them started playing with rocks and sticks. That creature made spears, he crafted shovels, he turned pelts into cloth. Then, he got fancy. He built the solar-powered flashlight and the combination table napkin/necktie. Not exactly useful, but somehow not altogether useless. He created inventions that didn’t quite work…but were nonetheless fun. Chindogu was born. Code: https://www.chindogu.com/

RE: Chindogu was born.
Hi FFFF !!!
I've always admired the 'pet rock' idea; Truly useless and pointless, but folks trotted out their wallets for it with smiles. Kind of like the Douglas Adams books, also quite pointless, but anyone who has read them is very likely to always remember Zaphod Beeblebrox and Ford Prefect, right ?? I'd love to be the inventor of the next pet rock...and the one after that too !!

RE: Chindogu was born.
For the next pet rock, you could take a rock, paint a face and call it a rockemon... Oops too late, not exactly a rockemon, but close... Code: https://pokemondb.net/type/rock Yup, the more pointless (and bizarre) a book is, the easier it is to become a cult classic. Luckily no fan decided to get extra limbs transplanted to look like their favorite imaginary character. Cheers, FFFF |
