I think udemy plays the video in HD mode irrespective of your connection speed. Other sites like youtube adjust the resolution according to the connection speed. If you reduce the video to low definition it should be work fine i think.

He needs a solution to download the whole course in HD, without downloading each lecture seperately.

There are two options that does that :

https://github.com/nishad/udemy-dl

and

https://github.com/nishad/udemy-dl-windows

It did works ok on my old PC, but on my new pc it says something about "cant get token".
This solution downloads complete course with all materials in nice, correctly named folders - but only for videos that you OWN !
