I bought this the other day and been testing it out since. I gave my 1st impressions of the ebook app looking cheap and nasty, in a post a few pages back. To be honest its the way the website converts the ebook that makes it look that way, and not a fault of appygen. I tried making an ebook the old fashioned way, convert each chapter into its own html page, and have a menu page. Then uploading to my server. I used the dynamic website template to redirect to my menu page and it looks alot better. just takes a lot longer to produce an app. I also tried out the dynamic blog app on one of my blogs and am happy with the resulting app. Appygen itself works great it does what it says it does. On my 2.2ghz computer it took on average 1 min 30 seconds to produce an app. You can make money with this app in all sorts of ways including admob,cpa,fiverr, affiliate reviews and selling apps to local businesses. Im hoping that appygen will carry on being updated and getting better, more templates, the ability to change menu icons etc. If anyone is just starting out in the android app business then this is a good entry level program, its easy to use and at the moment cheap.

Been messing around with the a few fixes for the pdf2html "option" in the manual, you are spot on when you say it is NOT AppyGen at fault, we know this as we converted an exact size pdf for a mobile to html and it was perfect [manually no crappy web scripts] then loaded it, from one of our own dev servers, fitted on an S5 screen perfectly. If this part can be speeded up and you do not have to use the pdf2html converter online each time, the app building can get better. Keep your testing coming, as with some practice you can make some cool viral apps with AppyGen, as a comparision, we have SC and SB accounts and already prefer this for it's speed alone, when it came out, it was a good idea, but just a bit naff, now it has come on leaps and bounds since the beta we had. So a sales thread, that is a feedback thread, that is a money making maching thread, cannot get much better Guys n Gals! ##### Look forward to seeing all the new buyers efforts and some screen shots of their apps here.. REMEMBER you do NOT have to put your app in GooglePlay Store to try it out, just chuck the APK on a microSD card|transfer it|plug your cellphone into your usb and install it direct! #####

@julian > this is a different beast to GAM, we have it, the simple steps to produce Apps, using AppyGen, were the main reason behind the concept! $47 all in, once, compared to $47 per month, every month for GAM [if you do not have the LT deal from launch] is a lot, to do roughly the same thing, love the fact it is NOT web based like GAM, so you can use AppyGen in private! ##### how will we be notified for updates of the software? @mic > updates are loop based lookup to the AppyGen servers, if you look at the bottom left hand side of our previous screenshot, you will see that the software polls, looking for updates, which means if you miss the email to update on the AG newsletter [pending extra!] and tips mailer, your copy will update on the fly.. ##### Ok, just purchased this one. Cant test this baby out yet, but a Quick question. Is it possible to edit the source code of the app in appygen?
Or do I need to open the app in another editor? If I want to add something that this program can't do? |
